well, i have survived, working for seven days! hahhaa....my supervisor gave me training before i started work...she taught me how to keep the lamina flow (chamber), scapel and forcep sterile...the bunsen burner is cool...just a light tap, and the blue fire comes on...i had to dip the forcep and scapel into a bottle of alcohol before heating them in the fire...u have to do this quite a number of times to make sure that they are very clean...well, she told me to look out for flames on the forcep and scapel after heating...must ensure that there is no more flame on them before you put into the bottle of alcohol...as u know, alcohol is flammable...haha...there was this dae, when i didnt notice tt there was a small light coloured blue flame on my scapel...i put it in the alcohol...and the fire just came out of the mouth of the bottle~ Thank God tt i was not burnt...i'm forever covered with His precious blood! i'm protected.

i was taught on how to transfer the plants from flasks to flasks....i transferred plants from 1 flask to 21 flasks...can u imagine tt? tt's crazy~ my hands and shoulders were aching as we have to do our transfer near to the filter of the chamber...so have to end up stretching my arms..haha...oh, and do u know how long does it take for the plant to grow from a small seed to a height of about 3 cm in the flask? it takes 2-3 years...i was quite worried about contaminating the flasks...once they are contaminated, they would throw it away...i think it's like throwing 3 years' of the other staff efforts away....everytime i closed the mouth of the flask with aluminium foil, i would lay hands on them, praying tt God will make nice plants out of them and there wun be any contamination...well, so far i have transferred about 120 flasks? Praise God tt so far only 1 of them was contaminated (fungi growth)....hopefully the number wun increase any further...Grace Grace...heez...oh yar! i got to make culture media as well~ using bananas, sugar, agar powder, potatoes, different kinds of salts, coconut juice~ haha...it's like home econs lesson...must blend the bananas...like making banana shake...lolx....then abit of chem lesson also...cos i got to use the measuring cylinder, the weighing balance and pH meter...and tt dae was the first time i saw such a big measuring cylinder..(1 litre)..hahaha...then once you poured everything in the pot, it was time to bring it to boil...i stood at the stove for about half an hr to stir...haha...making culture media is so much more fun than transferring..haha..i gtg now..getting tired. =)

I'm starting work tmr! hahhaa...gonna do tissue culture at botanical gardens...i think it's going to be quite interesting...like doing science experiments like tt...anyway, i only worked for one day for my previous job...long story...haha..but i still got paid~ wee! hope everything turns out fine tmr...i will be undergoing training before i can do the real stuff! haha... come to think of it, i think after training, i'm considered to be part of the skilled labour? lolx.

yeah yeah yeah!!! God is so good! i got a job! just by sending my resume yesterday in the late afternoon after my gym workout~ hahhaa... mama kept on pestering me to look at the recruit classified ads...well, didnt expect them to response to it so soon (this morning)...hahaha...and i'm going to start work tmr! Daddy God knows me best...He knows i hate going for interviews...well, He gave me what i want! Getting a job without even going for any interview...woohoo~ and the best thing is...it is a 5-day work week...sat i can do whatever i want, and sundae i can go to church! yeah! Praise God~ Thank You God for everything!

hmm, i gonna see how His favour works in me through out my working life there...hahaha...i'm so excited now~

seems like jingwen is slacking at work when her boss is not around...haha...she must have been reading pple's blog while working..lolx...so here's an update of my blog!

19th dec:

hmm..went back to the ubi comfort driving sch on monday...cos i wanted to change my registration from private to school after being convinced by my sis...paid $152.25 + $6 for the basic theory test, theory and practical fees...well, i got 15 hrs of e-learning to do when i'm at home, a tutorial lesson and 4 e-trial tests...haha...i shall not login to msn messenger when doing my e-learning (like wad lijing said)...anyway, lijing went for a chalet...while i went to meet some of my class girls to "clear our debts" for abi's, val's, mel's and jas's presents...haha...i was so casually dressed compared to the rest (jingwen, yixuan, yiwei and doreen)...haha...they wore high heels and collared shirt...they looked so formal~jingwen claimed tt she only has 5 sets of working clothes..and her boss scolds her for not putting on make-up...poor girl~haha...yixuan, jas and christie got to go off...so the rest of us went to tampines mall to have our dinner...we decided to go to katrina...yiwei ordered mee rebus while mel, me, jingwen, doreen ordered laksa...the laksa there was extremely spicy...haha...mel was tearing lah...jingwen didnt find it hot...not so sure abt doreen...all i know was that we ended up drinking every drip of water in our bottles...haha...actually, we were waiting for val to come cos she finished work at 8pm...but she couldnt make it and asked us to go off first...so we went home..haha..

20th dec:

ooh...merrini's b-dae party! haha...all of us had to wear either yellow, orange or red! i wore a yellow top...haha...i went to help out with the decorations...met jin xiong and eugene at bedok...eugene didnt wear the colours tt merrini asked us to wear! haha...jin xiong got merrini a gift from takashimaya (some things that are made of porcelain)...heez...lijing and i got her a body shop stuff shared by us, enru, xiyue...oh yar, jinxiong was so scared tt merrini would do something to him durin her party...lolx..anyway, we reached there at around 3 plus i think...shiqin, danny, benjamin, randall, jonathan cho, eugene foo, victoria and the most impt person, ingrid were there already...abt half the arc of balloons were already done...and danny looked like he was struggling with the tying of the balloons...haha, randall and i decided to take over their jobs...thank goodness ingrid bought a helium tank tt costs $85...at least we didnt have to blow our lungs out to inflat the balloons....haha...quite fun tying those balloons...merrini was busy doing bookmarks as souvenirs while we were decorating the multi-purpose room...haha...okie, the food was GOOD! very very nice...! esp the beef rendang! haha...i felt tt it was better than prom food...lolx..i think merrini ordered like more than 8 courses? she even made some dishes herself...! haha...she invited the faith 4-1 pple, some frens from nyjc choir, prefects from gm, and mrs chng and mrs kaan! actually, when i saw her frens from nyjc, i thought they were younger than us...i dunno..they looked really young! haha...danny, jia yue felt tt way too~ heez..anyway, they put up a choir performance for us! so nice of them~ cclia joined them for one of the songs...we kept insisting her to join them..haha...all of us had a wonderful time there! her b-dae cake was mango cake...very nice~ (jingwen, are u drooling now? haha) drank abit of champagne-like drink too...oh, merrini had a photographer there too! well, he ended up taking samantha when she is embarrassing herself...lolx...it's super funny~my sis sent me and eugene back home after the party..shall post some pics another time...have to wait for jiayue to send to me..haha

todae, lijing and edwina wanted to celebrate my birthdae...so we met up for dinner and ice-cream...heez...went all the way to cafe cartel at junction 8....well, it's my second time going to cafe cartel...the first was with my pw group...haha...i ordered porks ribs! it was such a big portion that i got such a hard time eating them...luckily i have my two buddies to help me with the ribs...anyway, i dont think i will eat pork ribs anytime soon...haha...i think i can even remember how they taste like in my dreams....lolx...edwina ordered meat lovers, while lijing ordered grilled chicken...haha...

after filling our stomachs, they brought me to thomson for ice-cream...the shop name is "ice-kimo"...it's edwina's fren's shop...i dunno how to spell his name...chun or choon or choong...lolx...anyway, it was NICE! they made their own ice-cream...they have horlicks, chocolate n cookies, belgium choc, strawberry cheesecake, etc. we had waffles with two scoops of ice-cream each ($5 only)...i chose belgium choc and mango...the mango ice-cream has bits of mango...very yummy~ the shop oso have lots of magazines, newspapers, card games and board games....we played uno...lijing claims tt she hasnt won uno before...haha..which is quite interesting...there was this uno card which does not have any number on it...it's just a plain coloured card...all of us thought that it was lang sek...lolx...but as we played the game, there were so many of such cards....haha...guess it's a new kind of uno card?

we played about 2 rounds of uno, took some pics, and went home as it was getting late...haha...thank goodness, my dad could pick me up at cityhall mrt as he had to pick my sis at suntec...i just realised that my sis played for bible study on thurs and fri! praise God~ i'm so happy that there are so many opportunities for her to go on stage...and i'm sure that God is behind all these...suddenly she get to play for main service for 2 sundays, and for the upcoming event, Eucharistia on 17th dec! woohoo~ she must be overjoyed! my sis shared with me some other things when we got home...and it was very encouraging to hear wad she said...my sis told me that on thurs, she received a call and was asked whether she could play for bible study on that very night...my sis was thinking to herself, "But i havent prepare for the songs!"...she decided to trust God and said yes. well, on wed nite, she was just playing some songs on her keyboard while having her quiet time...and u know wad? the songs that she was supposed to play for bible study..were the exact songs that she played during her quiet time...Daddy God prepared her without her even knowing~ wow! i'm just so amazed and touched to hear her testimonies! =) My God is such a GOOD God!

i finally highlighted my hair yesterdae!!! haha...did it with abigail and mel...for 78 bucks...cut, highlight, treatment at far east, the beauty spot. mel brought matthew along, haha, i guess he wanted to see how we look (or rather how mel look)...lolx..anyway, the beauty spot, 05-40, is recommended by my sis...she claimed tt there were many aunties doing their hair when she did her rebonding...haha...but she said the service and staff was good...so we decided to go there..

abi and i did our hair first...mel ate with matt first, after tt she joined us...abi chose a reddish-orange colour....since her hair is so black, it turned out really nice on her...and the lady cut a japanese "pong pong" hair look for her...haha..so cool~ for me, the woman said tt i suited brown highlight...so she chose a colour for me...haha...i was so afraid it will turn out to be so ah lian...praise God...luckily it turned out nice! haha...mel chose brownish-blond...it was great too! but she said it didnt really look like highlight...i felt it looked like dye and highlight...haha..cos her hair is already dark brown...anyway, after tt we went to get XXL chicken and the tempura...well, there was this girl who was rather tom-boyish at the shop..i think she likes abigail...haha...of cos we got scared and so we quickly got away from tt place after buying the food...abigail seems to attract both guys and girls..haha...btw, i saw ingrid at far east! lolx.

so for todae, i went job hunting with faith and lijing...i havent seen faith for such a long time already...haha...she still looked so skinny...haha...we started at tampines mall...went to so many shops..and they told us "No more vacancies"...haiz...i thought big shops like toy-r-us and isetan would need lots of helpers to cope with the christmas season...oh well...haha..things turned around at phin's steakhouse, golden village, swatch, pacific internet, life bookshop and another bookshop (i forgot the name!) haha...we managed to fill up our names and contact nos..so we'll wait for their calls...we went to courts, times and levis too...we called the head office and they were rather weird...when we called levis, they said "Pls leave a msg after the tone"...for times, they said "Pls call back later, we r having lunch at the moment"...omg, i nv hear such things before leh...haha...we decided to go to takashimaya after we were done at tampines...jingwen told me tt we can apply as gift wrapper at tower A...so we went up and filled our names....to our dismay, we saw about 100 applicants on the list...most of them, waiting for the O level results...haha...then we went to tower B to find metro...they r hiring sales assistants, $850 a yr i think...which is quite low...i cant get tt job, cos i only want to work in dec...haha...we went to recruit express too...well, we just fill up the form, and the pple there will help us find a job! hmm...sounds good rite? they will only let us know nxt week whether they got a suitable job for us...haha...oh yar, starbucks at tampines is hiring guys...they dont want girls anymore cos they hired 6 gals recently...haha...so if any of ur guy frens need a job, u can tell them to go there before the vacancies are filled! =)

yesterdae's prom was good! didnt expect it to be tt great..but it was really worth paying the money...many thanks to the organising committee...haha...

mel, me, abi, val, simin met at punggol mrt to meet the person who's doing our hair and make-up...well, she came 45 mins late...but thank goodness we managed to get everything done on time...she oso had an assistant, her bf...haha...actually, we were quite scared of her...cos she's very funky and had some tatoos on her...but she was very nice to us...haha...i did my makeup first...didnt had a mirror in front of me...so she was just doing the makeup on me without a mirror...once she said she's done, i went to the mirror..i got a shock...i looked like a doll...really..i couldnt recognise myself...cos she drew my eyes and put lots of mascara and glitter...haha...once all of us had our make-up, we changed into our dresses and she did our hair....she didnt bring any curler or anything, only pins and hairspray...haha..she twisted my fridge and some parts of my hair and pulled it behind...when it was done, i thought i looked like an over-grown flower girl...haha..somemore my dres is peach colour...lol...mel's hair looked nice too...at first, the person combed mel's fridge down, until it was touching her eyes....haha...mel kept blinking her eyes...like so uncomfortable...haha...in the end, the person pushed it to the side...abi's one was nice too! i like it...simin and val had similar hair...but they oso looked great~ mel helped us book a cab...and she told the person to pick us up at her house's rubbish chute...haha...all of us kept laughing...then on the screen in the taxi...i saw the word rubbish chute there...haha...mel is so cute sometime...i think she guessed tt was the most prominent place at her house...lol...we travelled along the cte...had a bad traffic jam there...we thought we were going to be late cos the prom ticket put 7pm there....we reached regent hotel at 7.20pm...haha...the hotel was packed with people...haha...thank goodness we managed to find our frens...we registered our names, and they gave us a door gift, which includes a seventeen mag, body shop soap, mask, 20% voucher from the natural source...

well, perfect 10 deejay, daniel ong was our emcee...he's super funny...extremely lame...haha...all of us had a good time laughing...dinner was a 8 course meal i think...cant really remember...it's quite nice..i like the scallops...lolx...there were lots of prizes given out...the top prize was a ipod nano...the person who received it is so lucky...haha...they also had table prizes...my table won something...a supposedly heart-shaped keychain (doesnt really look one to me)...haha...then they had nominations for prom king and queen...i didnt even nominate anyone...cos we registered late...didnt have time to fill up the red and blue cards...5 girls and 5 guys...i know 2 of the girls...haha...michelle and alicia...they looked great~ well they had to pose 3 times on the stage..one at the centre, the other 2 on the two sides of the stage....i think michelle did the best...she wasnt shy at all...haha...then after tt, they had to groove to the music tt the deejay played....michelle's was the kung fu music...super funny...i guessed she was very stunned when she heard the music....she did those graceful kungfu actions...haha...so happy tt she won the title of prom queen...all the pple at my table felt tt she deserved to win...haha...then there was this banana swinging game...where by the guy has to hold the rafia string attached to a banana, and swing it to hit the floor ball into the goal (the gap between the girl's feet)...the funny thing abt this was the way daniel ong described the actions of wad they guy is doing...He said, "okie, he's going to swing his banana!...is his ball going into the goal?....his banana is too small~, etc"...haha...at the end of the whole prom, we took lots of pics...i guess we were making too much noise, cos the manager kept asking us to lower our volume as we were disturbing the guests...haha...but all of us had a good time~ haha...

went to watch chicken little with simin, valerie and melissa at cathay cineleisure after prom....it was so crowded there...i guess everyone was staring at us...so paiseh...quickly get the tics and enter the theatre...the movie was 1am...and the theatre was almost full...only left the 1st two rows empty...valerie said she fell asleep halfway thru the movie...haha...i'm not surprised...cos she worked from 9am to 3pm on the prom dae....we saw howard, rachael boon and their frens from a01...haha...and it was so obvious howard was looking for someone among us...but she wasnt there...lol...after the movie, we went straight to mel's house, where we will be staying overnite...all of us had a hard time removing our make-up esp the mascara...i think val still had some mascara on after she bathed...haha...poor girl...by the time we finished, it was quite late...had some chitchatting, and then we went to bed at 5.30am..haha...simin didnt sleep at all...she read magazines...she left around 6am i think...i dunno...i was sleeping already..haha...we woke up at around 1030...cos val need to get back to work...anyway, spent the whole dae resting at home...so tired after one long dae...haha...

i just reached home...we cleaned the co room today...haha, quite fun because we were laughing through out the cleaning...i felt a sense of achievement after the cleaning...the co room is so sparkling clean now....no more black dots on the floor...the music stands are put in a box properly...rubbish in the corners are cleared away...haha...didnt practise my cello todae...spent about two hours cleaning the room...lolx

todae, we got back our bio paper...my MCQ: 10/20, Section B: 40/60, Section C: 6/40....as u all can see, my section C was badly done...i knew this would happen because i wrote the wrong answers for a certain essay...and for the rest of the essays, i only wrote about 1/2 to 3/4 page...but thank God, i passed my biology! =) haha...mdm nora said that less than 50% of the cohort passed the paper...i cant really remember the actual percentage...only know it's somewhere between 47-49%....before getting back the paper todae, i received news from my frens that their class only had a few passes for bio...about 4 or 5 passes per class....when my class got back the paper, i looked around and realised that everyone was pretty happy about their results...seems like almost everyone in my class passed...!

after receiving the bio paper, we went for bio tutorial at LT3 with S04...miss chua said my class did quite well for bio...we only got 4 failures out of 23 pple...it's quite surprising...i think miss sha is quite happy about it...hope she has recovered from the dengue fever..~

after civics todae, we got back our gp paper 2...did quite badly...but i didnt really think much about it...because i know that God has something good for me..even though, it may not be the results that i hoped for...i still thank Daddy God for it...it's going to his supernatural favour that will give me my success and victory~

after that, during maths tutorial, miss ong went through vectors...haha...but before she started, we asked her to tell us who got A, B, C and how many of us failed...i very very happy about my maths...it's really the only subject that i have high hopes for...praise God that i got an A..! wee!

haha...wat am i doing so late here online...? lolx...since exams are over, i guess everyone is taking a good rest at home....for me, guess wad? i have been watching vcds...it's a korean drama serial called "Da Chang Jing"..

this show is definitely addictive...! haha...there is a total of 70 vcds...during the june holidays when i am taking a break from all the mugging, i would just watch a few... my sis forced me to stop watching...haha...since i was stuck at the tv area for such a long time, instead of making good use of the time to study...managed to stop at disc 27...

obviously after exam, it is back to vcds! from thursday to sunday, i have watched 41 discs! woohoo! tt means 10 discs (1 disc = 40 minutes) a day...~ lolx...i'm like a korean drama freak now lahz...left 2 more discs before this whole thing ends....i didnt do any homework at all....realised that there are homework for all subjects (bio, chem, maths and gp)...omg! i hope nobody's doing it as well...lolx...cant help it lah since the show is getting more and more exciting...the producer made the ending of one vcd so exciting that it makes me want to watch the next disc...haha...no wonder, i can watch 10 discs a day! lolx...

after watching, of cos it will be back to homework! so sian...also don't feel like doing...haha...i guess i'll do a bit here and there...our "holidays" are going to be over soon...so fast~ :(

today's chemistry paper was quite difficult...some of the qs that came out were very difficult, for eg, the graphs A and B that question in Section B...i dunno wad they talking about...didn't even use the graph paper that they gave us...haha...are we supposed to use it? heez, anyway, i'm glad that on the way to assembly, i asked my frens how to form amide...i suddenly forgot...haha...well, a question about amide came out...thank God...and alot came out from transition elements....only studied that chapter last night..i dunno why, but i just felt that it was necessary to memorise stuff from there...haha, the holy spirit in me even guides me to my notes...wow~

i just had a good nap and lunch...so i'm going off to study for bio~ All His best! Jia You everyone!

havent been blogging for quite some time...haha..i have been at home studying for this whole week...well, all the memorising for bio and chem is difficult...but i managed to...praise God...Each of His beloved children has a mind of Christ~...feeling stressed about the time i left to complete my revision...but i'm glad yasmin sent me a sms..

Don't look at how much time you have left before the exams, but look at how much God can do within that time. He is your wisdom and you have a mind of Christ! Believe it! =)

this sms has been a great encouragement to me...i'm really happy to have such a wonderful Daddy in heaven who is forever faithful, always watching over me and taking care of us...His love and mercies endures forever~

as for the coming week of common tests, i'm gonna trust in Him...even though i may not complete my revision for the subjects, haha...His grace and favour is gonna be upon me...and i'm gonna expect good results from Him because He is GOOD! (",)

i'm back from Ben-Gen Camp!!! woohoo...it was awesome! if u guys are wondering y the camp is called Ben-Gen...haha...here it is..Ben-Gen stands for benjamin generation...we are now the benjamin generation...which means our portion is 5 times more than anyone...Praise God!

Amen~this camp is a singles camp...it is for singles ages 17 and above..obviously, i'm one of the youngest there...haha...but i managed to meet up with many people from all walks of life..some are single parents while some are working adults...and the rest are from campus ministry...praise and worship were great...once again, i was so touched by God's love for me...He's my helper and strength and He knows all my problems and needs in life...everyone jumped and just rejoiced in the Lord...praising Him for all the miracles and testimonies that we received...I teared during praise and worship...i just cant help tearing as I was touched by His everlasting love for His beloved children....oh man, this camp strengthened my relationship with God...!

Services were preached by Pastor Joshua...they were basically on how to have godly relationships, dating...those sort of things...though it doesnt really apply in my life right now..but it prepares me in the future...and i thank God for it...

Japanese Nite was fun! all of us had to wear something that has got to do with Jap...most of the campus people dressed up as japanese schgirls...haha...including me...coach mandy dressed up as a sushi...haha...some others were streetfighters...there was one who was sadako...she really scared the whole lot of us...lolx...there were lots of ninjas around...my sis was one of them...haha...it's really funny..cos all the ninjas ran around the hotel with their "weapons"...as though they were really on a mission...haha...the staff of the hotel laughed...For games day, though my group didnt win...we had a great time together...OnYx Rox! there was this game, where i have to drink water from a cup without using my hands....thank God, i could do it! hahaha...

My roommate was Marilene, jc1 from tpjc...haha....we always groove with the music on the radio...started dancing and jumping around in the room...i wonder who else does tt...lolx...i had to wake her up every morning...haha...had to draw the curtains so tt the sunlight shines on her face...food was hmm...okie..the first dae was good..but for the nxt few daes...quite sian...cos the food was similar everydae....we also had time to shop at KLCC...i bought two pairs of shoes and a belt which costs RM$7...very cheap rite?..haha...liru, shin yin, marilene and me shopped so much until we almost missed the last shuttle bus...lolx...my sis was so worried that i will miss the shuttle bus..haha...

I'm glad i went for this camp...though i missed quite a number of lessons...but i didnt mind...cos i know that His Grace and favour is upon me...before the camp, i was so worried that i didnt have enough time to study for common test...as a result, my expectation from God in this camp is to multiply my time and to give me His strength and determination to study for common test...for this common test, it's not going to be by my effort but it's gonna be by His grace...Thank You Lord! Rest in Him as with God, all things are possible~ Amen

woohoo~ my pw grp went for an outing at orchard road todae! haha...we were supposed to meet at 1.30pm...but me, mel and edwin arrived late, leaving ben ong and abigail alone...hahaha...me and mel thought that they would walk along orchard road while waiting for us..but they didnt...they stayed within orchard mrt~lolx...anyway, we went to cafe cartel at cathay cineleisure to have our lunch cos i have 10% discount...hmm..by the time the meals arrive on our table, it was around 3.45pm..quite late huh? haha..me and mel shared this main course that has shoft shell crab and prawns...the soft shell crab taste abit weird...haha...abigail had this huge burger!...haha..after eating, she said that she was very very FULL! ben ong had something...erm..i think it's chicken with pineapple sauce? haha...i only remembered the pineapple sauce but not sure wad meat was it...edwin had two big chucks of pork ribs...his plate was huge! haha...

obviously, after eating, me and mel were not really full...we wanted dessert..so we asked the rest whether they wanted...abigail decided not to have any..cos she didnt want to put on weight as her rock-climbing compeition is coming....so we chose a dessert for the 4 of us...i cant remember the actual name of the dessert...but the description was "10 scoops of ice-cream with home-made cookies.." haha...when it came, the bowl was big...same goes to the scoops of ice-cream...haha...we took fotos while eating tt...haha...we took a pic b4 we eat, another one when we are half-way through...and a last one when we are done with it...when ben ong send me the pics, i'll post it here!

after tt, we went upstairs to take neo-prints...we used the 8 beam machine...well, it didnt turn out well...haha...cos we either looked shocked in the fotos...or one of our faces were not really there...i posted the only 3 pics that looked normal...haha...enjoy! i guess all of us have made this conclusion, which is not to use tt machine ever again...haha....i think mel enjoyed the turning wheel of tt machine...make her feel like a dj...hahaha...by the time we are done with the foto-taking...the sun has almost gone down....so we decided to make out way home...

hmm...todae, i had co practice from 9am to 1pm..from todae until 3rd june, tpjc having DSAE...which is direct schools admission exercise...so all the performing arts were pretty bz preparing for the auditions for the pple cuming in to appeal...well, there was this girl who asked me where was J102...hmm...so i brought them to the MLEP room..thought it was near there..haha..it was not..lolx..felt so embarrassed...i'm a year 2 and i still dunno my way around the sch? hahaha...thank goodness shu lian came...quickly asked her where's the room..and she showed me where was it....thanks shu lian! haha...

anyway, we practised "zhang hua ying"...well, still struggling with it..haha...the notes are so high...i noticed that when everyone finds a certain song easy to play, the scores for cello are so difficult...and when the song is easy for us, the rest of the co find it difficult...haha...weird...yeah! i just killed a mosquito in my room~..no wonder, my body is so itchy...okie..back to wad happen, hmm...eileen came down to see us...haha..so long nv see her le ever since syf tt dae...

After co, i went back home to get a bath...after tt i went to meet lijing and edwina...while i'm about to leave the house...i received a call from yunzheng...

So i ended up giving him rachel's number...i guess he felt pretty embarrassed...hahaha...anyway, me, lijing and edwina went to orchard road to do some shopping...lijing bought a cd and a quiksilver jacket...edwina bought lotsa things: necklace, slipper, jewellery box and some others which lijing and me don't remember...haha..i bought a skirt, necklace and bangles...yeah...so happy...it's the great singapore sale! woohoo! best time to shop! haha...well, we spent most of our time at heeren...almost half of our time was spent there...haha...shopped until around 9pm...went to have our dinner at takashimaya...saw rcc..haha...wun elaborate on wad we saw...lolx...after tt we went home, saw peilin..haha...yupz, i gotta do some maths now...byee!

That's what i learnt in todae's sermon...message was simple and clear...to all beloved children of God...know that good things (eg. ur test results) come is not because of our effort, but because of God's love for you and i...Jesus died on the cross, so that we can receive His blessings, wholeness, life, healing and salvation...Glory to Him! =)

anyway, after service...i went window shopping with my sister...haha..obviously, we didnt buy anything...except food! we got hungry along the way..so we got this black pepper chicken chop...which was absolutely delicious! $1.20 only..haha...well, think because of my greediness, we got ourselves a ice-cream cone tt costs 60 cents...the person who scooped the ice-cream was very generous....she gave us a huge scoop of ice-cream! haha...oh yar, i forgot to mention...the sign on the ice-cream stall! it says "Ice-cream scope, 60 cents"...my sis and i kept on laughing...haha..after eating, my sis drove us back home..

hmm..when we got home...my sis wanted to practise carrying out a body-checkup for me...she gonna have her practical exam this cuming tues...haha...well, i was like her patient...and there she was pressing my tummy, knocking my knee and legs, using the torch to shine into my eyes, testing my cranial nerves, taking the stesthoscope to hear my respiration and heart beat, etc...haha...while pressing my tummy, i felt very ticklish...i ended up laughing most of the time...she gave up on me in the end..and decided to do it on my papa...same result sia...my papa kept on laughing oso! she said that when she did the same things on the patients in the hospital, they just remained there...no movement anything...hmm...but i still think that it's the way she press...really tickles me...haha..after tt, we had dinner...mama cooked chilli crab! heez...thank u mama, very nice! and then parents went to watch korean vcd, da chang jin (very popular in hk now)...haha...i guess lots of parents spent their time watching vcds at home...i know valerie's parents do...lolx...we then sent my sister back to hostel...yupz, tt's abt it for todae...i'm gg to do some maths now...bye!

yeah...finally the gp common test is over...i was so worried for the past few daes....cos i heard from peiyu that the gp common test is gonna be difficult...well, i did my exam in the hall, G07...haha...evan was on my right, mei feng was on my left....while doing the exam, i kept looking at the two of them, i mean their speed of writing cos i didnt want to be lagging behind...haha...

I did q7...the one on single mothers...the q is "discuss the difficulties single mothers face in your country"...well, actually i was thinking of doing q1...something abt honouring the past...but i didnt have enough points...so i settled on q7....the rest of the qs, haha..either i didnt have the interest or i didnt understand...lolx...mrs kum emphasised that introduction is the most impt part of the essay...i wrote my introduction twice...i think christie wrote it thrice...haha..this was my first time taking such a long time to complete my essay...usually, by the time i want to start my conclusion, i will be left with 15 mins...todae, i was left with 5 mins...so nervous..i scared i couldnt complete my essay...but i managed to...haha...end of paper 1, we had a break..and then it was time for paper 2..

hmm...for paper 2, passage A was easy to understand...but for passage B, there were so many profound words and terms...making it hard to understand...like tt how to answer the qs rite? anyway, i think i spent a long time on summary...by the time i finished, it was 10.55am...i was left with 35 more mins to complete 4qs and AQ..my goodness...super nervous at tt time...and havent read passage B...i told myself...i need to read the passage within 5 mins...complete 4 qs in 15mins...and another 15mins to do my AQ...yupz...out of the 4qs, i only know the ans for 2qs...the rest of the qs, i just thought of weird answers...dunno whether correct or not...haha...but at the end, i finished my gp paper 2! yeah! well, i just hope tt i can pass gp...i will be happy already....if it turn out to be good, it will definitely becos of God's grace (undeserved, unmerited favour)...

after gp, all the gm pple head to the foyer...todae was gm closing ceremony...gm gonna move to geylang bahru there...haha...after 2 yrs, we will move back to our old site..anyway, we took a cab down to gm...didnt want to take mrt u see...scared we will be late..haha...well, by the time we reached there, all the students have been dismissed...the teachers were not around as well...as they had meeting..anyway, we got a collar badge...it says "our heritage, GMSS"...so nice...heard from sarah and jonathan that when we move back, the sch will have another collar badge..it will combine with the one they gave us todae...something like jigsaw puzzle...haha...so sweet...

back to gm, we went down to the wesley hall...the place where we had chapel and singspiration...it feels good when we are back in gm...all the memories just came back...we took some pics with the school flag, the cross, the rostrum, haha...practically everything found on the stage in the wesley hall...haha...soon the teachers were done with their meeting..they had a big buffet awaiting for them in the canteen..haha...specially for them lahz...as the teachers ate, we gathered around them..talking to them...then we were like hinting to them tt we wanted some food..hahaha...huang lao shi was so nice...haha..she gave each person a piece of fries...when it came to my turn, she looked at me...took a piece of chicken instead...and fed me...saying in chinese, "So skinny, must eat more.." haha...so nice of her....we didnt want to disturb the teachers while eating, so we decided to go up to our faith 4-1 classroom...when we entered...the tables were not arranged..and it was littered...but we didnt mind..haha...sam took a whiteboard marker..and started drawing on the board..."Faith 4-1 '03"...haha..the rest of us, we were looking at the vandalised tables...haha...see whether the things we wrote in sec 4 was still on the table....haha...we managed to find one table which has some stuff..ricky's and jaydeep's names were there...and the famous "Stussy" sign by eugene was on the table as well...there were many such signs on the noticeboard as well...haha...

we decided to arrange the tables...so tt we can sit back at our original tables...haha...when we settled down..yongxin suddenly climbed onto a table...and took down part of the fore-ceiling...and he started digging for something...and then we saw it...it was our class foto taken in sec 4...haha...it's like digging for a treasure hidden two yrs ago....haha...and then he put back the foto..and cover the fore-ceiling...haha..hopefully, when we come back after two yrs...it will still be there...*if u are wondering..."but i thought the sch gg to be demolished?*...haha...tt block wun be demolished...only the others will...anyway, we took some more fotos...at the porch and some other places...and bidded farewell to our dearest teachers....after tt, we went to the nearby coffeeshop to have our lunch....and went back home... =D

todae is college dae....haha...co was after band...while they were playing some songs to entertain the audience, my section pple were at the back stage...DANCING! haha...we had lots of fun behind...the teachers were so busy...mrs neo was running up and down...cos the rain came and stopped so many times...and then she had to tell everyone whether it was the dry or wet weather programme...soon, we heard the trumpeters playing their instruments...tt means the goh has arrived...haha...

after the band was done with their performance, we went up the stage....we played "gong wu"...it went very fast....i think the conductor was running out of breath as well...haha...i dunno whether the performance was good or not....but it was definitely not as good as the time we played in syf....heez!

after performance, we went up to the co room to pack our instruments...i had to change back into my sports shoes...cos i have to go up the stage again to receive my award....didn't really tell my frens tt i will be receiving an award...haha..only my class, co and eunice knew abt it....anyway, i got a plaque and a certificate...no money...hahaha...but it's okie lahz...at least i can put the plaque in my room to keep as memories...after the end of college dae, the photography wanted to take pics of the prize-winners...i was intending to run away...but to no avail...cos mrs sze caught me...haha...overall, it was a nice event...i enjoyed watching the dance performances esp...haha~

todae, i had my 2.4km run...this is my second time running...haha...my timing for the first one was 16.16..which is a D...wanted gold lahz...so i decided to give it another shot...todae's weather is very good...windy, just abit of sun...i ran and i got a timing of 15.06....i asked many of my frens whether it was a B or C...and then mel told me that she thinks the 15.05 is a B...that means, i missed by a second to get a B!! sian...should have run a little faster....

after running, commando lee told us some stuff about volleyball....and then it started raining...we were dismissed 20mins early! haha...during gp lesson, mrs kum returned our essays....i knew i will do badly as i didnt put in much effort in it...i got very low for my essay....dun wanna sae my marks...very paiseh...i havent been improving for my essay even though mrs kum has been going thru what are the necessary things to write in an essay...i think i know what's the problem...i didnt really choose the right question...and my topic sentences are limited...gp common test is cuming....nxt fri, 27th may! abit worried that the same thing might happen...but still, i have God on my side...yeah! by His grace, i will get good results~ =) Thank you Jesus!

okie..todae has been a long dae for me...todae is tpjc track and field meet..haha...my class got into the finals for 12X100m relay...which is very surprising...anyway, it was a long wait...cos tt event was after the interval and staff race...during the interval, we went to some warm-up...christie led us in the stretching exercises at the netball court..after tt we ran two rounds around the court...really felt warmed up...i was all ready to run..! i was the 5th runner..jingwen had to pass the baton to me...while i have to pass the baton to alicia...

when the race started, my class was the last position...but we managed to catch up in the nxt few rounds...when it came to my turn to run, i ran as fast as i could...didnt even notice who's beside me or something....as i ran, i suddenly forgot who i have to pass the baton to...haha..i just looked out for a red tag on the shirt...heez...when mel was running, i was screaming my head off...haha...bet mel can hear me loud and clear...at the end of the race, we got 5th...which is not bad...haha...at least we didnt get last...the nxt race was jc2 12X100m relay again...s04 was running...and they got 2nd...! we were so happy for them...cos they trained for it....but overall, they got 4th..so wasted sia...the points for each faculty was calculated...and..science A emerged as the overall champion! and oso champion for girls! woohoo!!! science D was the champion for boys...yeah~ after the whole thing, mel, abi and me took some pics at the track..haha...so funny..especially the one i took wif mel...look at the latest entry...haha..after tt we went to eat...christie, mel, abi, yixuan, jasmine, xin tian, jingwen and me...we went our separate ways at tampines mall cos some of them wanted to go to yoshinoya...which mel hated..haha...so christie, mel, abi and me went to long john at cs....we had a heavy lunch! haha...the staff claimed tt there was no more regular cup...so we ended up paying for the large cup...when we got seated, we realised tt those pple who were behind us..they got regular cups! the woman cheated us sia..haha...but in the end, we managed to finish the drink....we went home after tt...it was raining very heavily...but when i got off from the shuttle bus, it stopped...! yeah!

okie...went home to bathe..and get changed for songfest...songfest tics all sold out...tt means full house in the audi...it stated on the tic tt we should be seated by 5.30pm..so i met my frens at the side gate bus stop at 4.45pm..cos we wanted to get good seats...yupz..when we entered sch...there were so many pple....! we hanged around..talk to pple..took some pics...and waited until 5.30pm...when it was 5.30pm, the council pple didnt let us in...maybe they were not ready? i dunno..haha..we only managed to get in around 6pm...yupz..there were 3 categories for songfest..individual, group and band....for the grp category, there was this grp called counting phoenixs...they sang "accidentally in love"...haha...the audience laughed like siao..cos when they sang, all of them started dancing and jumping....yup..i felt like i was watching kids central..really..jerome got 3rd for individual and 3rd for band...aman got 2nd i think...they did a great job..love their performance...the songfest..overall was okie...most of the time, our ears hurt...cos most of them were screaming in their mikes...esp the guest singers...maybe i dunno how to appreciate this kind of music ba...some others said tt the music was very good...abi said she got a headache after songfest..haha....must be the loud music...i shall end here..quite a long entry sia..

todae co members were dismissed from sch at 9am so tt we can practise our two pieces...i attended civics and gp lesson...haha..for gp, my class had to do compre...i did two qs and then i went off le...couldnt concentrate...read the passage, but still dun understand...everything in my head was the two pieces...anyway, i reached the co room..thought i will be one of the earliest...but it turned out tt there were so many pple in the room when i reached...i guessed they skipped the two periods of lessons? haha...guo lao shi came...made some slight changes to the two songs...yupz...and thru these practices, i can see tt everyone is putting their greatest effort in...=) we had practices for like one hr...after tt we ate our lunch and get changed and then moved the instruments to the foyer...i wasnt nervous tt time...i just felt relaxed...dunno y oso...cos i prayed for a silver or better for our syf...and i just expecting good results from Him...yeah...we headed for singapore conference hall by bus...put on makeup on the bus..haha....i dunno how to...wince helped me to put blusher and i couldnt see my face in the tiny weeny mirror tt i have...after tt i helped wince..haha...thanks wince! when we reached, there were so many schs there....some of them already beginning to leave the hall...some schs didnt wear blazers, they wore their own attire....yupz..i met some of my frens from tjc...wen jie and wantin...haha...they still looked the same...haha..seems like almost all the gm pple join chinese orchestra as their cca...lolx...

we were waiting for our turn to go into the tuning room...only allowed 10 mins in there...which is very precious....while waiting, mr wong, miss yap and miss lam...they gave us strong encouraging words to boost our morale...by then, we were already cheering our hearts out...as if the competition was over...could see that everyone was in super high spirits! yupz...guo lao shi looked very smart in his attire...haha...looked slim...=) the tuning room was pretty spacious....when we played our two pieces...i knew tt this was our best performance so far....it was so nice! i could hear myself...i could hear everyone...everyone sounded great...after the tuning room, we headed to the place outside the stage...where we waited for our turn...tjc was b4 us...there was a tv found there...so we could see and hear how well they performed....while listening, everyone was having mixed thoughts, some of us felt intimidated by them...the numbers, the loudness, etc... wince was very worried...but i just told her to play our hearts out and relax...and i told her to expect good results and not to worry so much...very soon, it's time for us to go in....

when we entered, the front block of seats were left empty...only the back seats were occupied...i was relieved...we waited for guo lao shi...and then sat down to prepare our set piece...by then, my heart was beating so fast...my hands shaking...this is my first time taking part in syf, goes the same for the others....by the end of the song, we knew tt we made some mistakes...but we nv gave ourselves up...and decided to put in our best in the nxt song...luckily, we played the song well....i guess this helped to pull our marks up....haha

results time..the judges are all males...one is from hongkong...he speaks wif a hongkong accent...haha...they announced the results according to the order of appearance....tpjc was number 10...there were some schs which got bronze...pioneer jc, yishun jc and sajc...yupz...my cello teacher told my section tt 80% we will get a silver, 20% we will get a gold...and tt we will definitely wun get a bronze...yupz...when they called "tampines junior college.." i was grabbing wince's shirt....and closing my eyes tight...haha...then they finally said "SILVER!" wow..we screamed like siao...as if we got a gold like tt...all the other schs looked at us as if we were lunatics...haha...cos they nv see a sch so happy becos they got a silver...we hugged each other..there were tears of joy of course...only one sch got gold wif honours...hwa chong...tj, nj, vj and some others got gold...acjc, mjc, nyjc, jjc got silver...yupz....at the end of everything, all of us were cheering like siao...3 cheers and more 3 cheers...in the hall...my fresn from tj cried..cos they expected a gold wif honours...yupz...they were so unhappy...

hmm...anyway, we have brought co to greater heights! finally...tpjco has achieved something...we can lift our heads high now....yeah!

central judging for syf for chinese orchestra is cuming very soon!! 3 more daes~... feeling the tension now...just hope tt everything turns out fine on tt dae..everyone dun gan chiong yar? hahaha...todae had co practice at audi...full dress rehearsal...everyone looked nice n smart esp lijing and franz...their blazers fit them just nicely...for me, it was difficult to find a suitable blazer...i'm tall u see...the length of the arms can sae not really proportional to the width of my shoulders...either i get a blazer which fit my shoulders but sleeves too short for me..or get one tt fit my arms and not my shoulders...of cos i chose the second one..haha...cant expect me to wear a blazer wif short sleeves horz? i play the cello somemore..must stretch the arm...lolx...jie yi looks like a loanshark in her blazer..cos it's too big..haha! everyone kept on laughing at her....

so this morning, as i was preparing to go to sch for practice, lijing messaged me "can u bring a plaster for me?" she needs it for her court shoes lah..i was thinking..todae full dress? i wasnt even told tt todae was full dress rehearsal...haha..quickly messaged wince, my section leader abt it...dun think she knew abt it..cos if she knew, she would have told me...haha...guess something cropped out when lihui was sending smses to the section leaders...think maybe she forgot to send to wince...haha..

guo lao shi, my conductor..haha..he wore a pair of "dirty" jeans again...haha...he always wear this pair of jeans tt is covered wif a layer of white dust...haha...everytime i see him, i'll think tt he is a construction worker...lolx..guess he likes tt pattern of jeans sia....dirty-looking ones..haha...he's really good to us...he has been cuming for every practices to conduct us even though he has some things on...heard from lihui tt he purposely did not go to other schs to teach as he wanted to help us...yupz..thanks guo lao shi!

tmr is labour dae!! 1st may! haha...but i'll be gg to sch at 7.15am...we will be gg to singapore conference hall, our venue for syf tmr! haha...only two hrs...9-11am..after tt the band will be there from 11am-1pm..yupz..after tt, we will go back to sch for more practices...until 3pm..everyone jia you yar? it's the last lap! take care and drink lotsa water! and good luck to the band and choir members for their cuming syf! =)

haha..havent been blogging for days...anyway, last weekend, i spent the nite in school....CO camp...the main aim of this camp is for training sessions and bonding wif the jc1s...we slept at the hall...haha...some of us brought mahjong, poker cards, jenga, uno and even twister!!! we had a great time!!! i was in charge of the food wif two other guys...weekiat and khaiping...haha...so happy tt the food turned out good..everyone enjoyed!! odac was camping in sch as well...and their dinner was chicken rice with LOTS of rice...hahaha...while ours was rice, black pepper chicken cutlet, steamed beancurd and stired fish wif celery...CO slept in the hall...while odac slept in the classrooms...i had nite duties from 1am - 3am...hahha....supposed to watch out for suspicious pple who want to steal our things or maybe some perverts..heez...after tt, i went to sleep on the floor in the hall...the floor very hard sia...but surprisingly i managed to sleep...haha..lijing slept nxt to me...but when i woke up, i was all alone..hahaha...so funny...when i woke up, she was playing mahjong wif the rest...

during the nite, we had some games...all of us divided to different grps....red, purple, etc. cant really remember...haha...we had to play treasure hunt...supposed to find the red cards at the venues...for eg the carpark..as u all noe, tpjc has a HUGE carpark rite...and it was super dark...had to use torchlight to look for our clue...haha...the carpark lines were red in colour...and guess where we find our red card? on the red line...my goodness...luckily we managed to find it...if not we will be stuck there for a very long time...nxt morning, woke up..had bread wif kaya..haha..i ate 3 pieces of bread...very hungry..the leftovers, weekiat brought it all home! thanks sia!...basically, it's just practices and more practices...but can see tt we have bonded...at least i got to know the names of the jc1s...hahha...

very happy abt todae...cos the part where cello suppose to pluck the strings..yupz...we came in together...it was so neat and nice! good job guys..! hahhaa...wince, jiawen, fraq...u guys are the best! =) heez...we had sectionals for two hrs...after tt combined for abt 1 hr...haha...i think we are almost there le...going to get a silver...everyone in CO yao jia you kz? 21 daes....~~~ and all our hard work will be paid off...though the chinese, malay and indian dances get silver, gold, gold respectively...haha...it does not matter...all of us need not be stressed over their results...as long as we know tt we have done our best...yupz..tt will be considered as a great achivement for each and everyone of us! yeah! okie..i gtg now..haha...byeee!

Learning Journey!

todae my class went on a NE learning journey to CPIB (corrupt practices investigation bureau)...boarded the bus...haha...and made our way there...CPIB is at red hill...the driver drove us to outram...and he thot that the cantonment police station was CPIB...haha...made us so happiee tt we reached already...so the driver ended up calling his fren to ask for directions...soon we ended up in bukit merah...can tell tt the driver lost his way...he asked his fren over the phone, "Left or right...turn left arhz..okay.." haha...we passed by many buildings and he stopped in front of a nursing home..hahaa....my class pple were shocked lahz...finally, we reached tt place...

By then, it was 2.45pm...haha...15mins late...the speaker was in the audi waiting for us...he showed us some videos...and we realised tt the speaker was the main actor in the videos...haha..almost every scene has his face somewhere....super farnie... after the videos, we went to another room where there was a lie detector on the table...the girls volunteered daniel to take the test...hahaha...it was quite interesting...cos u get to see the heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure and the amt of sweat produced..haha...and the person who is the examiner managed to find out wad daniel was lying abt...which was very cool~...hahha...at the end of the session, the same speaker asked us wad is corruption and how do we prevent corruption...we gave him super lame answers..haha..for eg, the second q...we answered, "we must have good CPIB officers.." hahahaha...yupz..after tt boarded the bus to head back to sch...need to go back to sch for chinese orchestra...must practise cello...haha...tt's abt it..need to go do some maths now...will update another time..!

I went to tampines pavilion shunji matsuo quick service wif jasmine to cut my hair todae...haha..jasmine got her hair straightened..for me, i had my hair cut...dunno whether nice or not..heez..after tt went to tampines mall...isetan mango...jas bought a shirt for herself...25 bucks..hahaha...a green skirt! very funky! too bad dun have my size..if not i will buy one as well...todae in sch...i thought tt we will go genetics tutorial during bio pract...and when we went there..it turned out to a Bio Spa Trial...which none of us was prepared for it..topic is photosynthesis...didnt really know wad to write...haha...yupz.. =)

haha...this is my first entry...seems like everyone is starting their own blogs...so i was thinking i should have one too...hmm..todae was a stay-at-home dae....watched tv, do my work, sleep...quite sian..parents didn't want me to go to the city harvest's easter service at indoor stadium todae...said i have spent too much time in church...praying that God will change their mindsets...let them know that God can and will multiply my time for my studies and cca...i'm excited abt tmr's service..haha..yeah!
